ELIGIBILITY AND SCREENING CRITERIA QUALIFICATIONS

  • Section 8 Housing Subsidized Units:
  • Rent is Based off 30% of total Household income
  • Must have at least one Person with Disability in household
  • No Evictions or Evictions within 3 years
  • 3 Year Rental verification
  • At least 3 months of Income Verification
  • We also accept the Section 8 Housing Voucher

Income Status / Subsidized Housing:
Northport Movin' Out offers rental homes to households that qualify under the Section 8 income limit guidelines. Our low income/subsidized apartments typically include units designated for low income households and rent is Subsidized and is Based off 30% of the total household income.

Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities
To be qualified, you must have at least one Person with a Disability in household. Movin' Out partner with people with disabilities, their families, and their allies to create and sustain community-integrated, safe, affordable homes. Access to safe, quality, affordable housing, and the support needed to stay there for many years, are among the most important economic and social conditions that affect health outcomes. We do not provide supportive services but will coordinate with you, your Family Care or supported living providers to adapt their assistance to account for what you want and need from your new home, even if you have substantial or complicated support needs. With assistance and resources from Movin’ Out, people with disabilities, veterans, and others can purchase or rent affordable, accessible homes of all types that form the foundation for success in other areas of life.

 

Fair Housing
Movin' Out and its property management partners adhere to the requirements of the Federal Fair Housing Act, which prohibits discrimination in housing on the basis of race or color, religion, national origin, family status, age, disability, or sex.

 

Previous History
Northport Movin' Out and its property management partners consider income, credit history, criminal history, and prior rental experience when reviewing rental applications. If your credit is poor due to issues with medical bills or other issues related to your disability, we will take that into account when reviewing your application.
